Federico always utilizes the finest natural turquoise, much of it from old mines and collections long since depleted. FEDERICO JIMENEZ was born in Oaxaca, Mexico in 1941 in a Mixtec Indian Community. He came to the USA in 1967 to study and work.

He studied jewelry making and design at the University Community School. In 1970 He and his Wife Ellen Belber Jimenez took a trip to the Southwest and fell in love with the American Indian Culture.
